About Us
The Ditch Water Discovery Center functions as a dynamic, living classroom, showcasing conservation practices that can be adopted by homeowners, businesses, and communities. Through this innovative, sustainable landscape, Middle Trinity Groundwater Conservation District aspires to cultivate and inspire stewards of the environment, committed to preserving our invaluable natural resources through hands-on experiential education.
Teaching
The Ditch provides engaging educational outreach programs that inspire individuals of all ages to conserve and appreciate our precious natural resources. Our curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including the importance of water conservation, the effects of drought on agriculture, and the role of native plant species. Through our scheduled events and special programming, participants will gain a deeper understanding of vital subjects like sustainable farming practices and the ecological value of preserving our local environment. Join us as we explore and celebrate the connection between our community and the natural world around us.
Collaborating
The Ditch collaborates with local organizations, businesses, and school districts across Erath, Comanche, Bosque, and Coryell counties to offer conservation education to the community.
